Welcome to Rich & Carr Freer Bouskell Solicitors
TWO long-established law firms have joined forces, combining first-rate expertise within a single, central city base. In recent weeks, Rich& Carr and Freer Bouskell, of Leicester, have undertaken a merger, with the new resulting firm now known as Rich & Carr Freer Bouskell.
The new-look company is operating from the current Rich & Carr premises, Assurance House, in Rutland Street, close to the city centre and in the heart of Leicester’s regenerating Cultural Quarter. The two firms had been in discussions on a merger since the end of last year, with the view that their similar, family firm approach, providing a flexible service sensitive to the needs of the client, would create a mutually beneficial, revamped organisation. The present economy provides an excellent opportunity for both firms to rationalise their operations under one roof, whilst maintaining the same high levels of service and maximising the potential for further growth in the future.
Rich & Carr has been providing legal services throughout the East Midlands for nearly 50 years. During this time, this traditional firm of solicitors has maintained a sound reputation for achieving optimum results for clients, especially in the fields of property and conveyancing, wills and probate, and family law. The firm continues to offer the personal touch clients expect from a local firm, with support from outlying county branches at Syston, Oadby, Blaby and Lutterworth. The current partners at Rich & Carr, Mark Tildesley, David Roberts and John Barr, remain as partners with the new firm and, of the four current partners at Freer Bouskell, two, namely David Charman and Mario Anastasiades, have joined the new firm as Associates, whilst the remaining two, Neil de Voil and Peter Ward, have joined as consultants.
Rich & Carr Senior partner, Mark Tildesley, said: “The partners of Rich & Carr were anxious in the current difficult times to be able to continue our philosophy of delivering high quality legal services to clients at a local level. This merger represents the first step in a process designed to allow this to continue and indeed expand.” Neil de Voil, senior partner of Freer Bouskell, said the merger would be mutually beneficial, with the two firms both bolstering each other and uniting their strengths. “This is a logical match which establishes common ground for our firms and will be a process which enables us to grow, immediately offering wider and better services to our existing clients, as well as new ones.”
